Taking action in Perrymans Farm Road

This is a copy of an email that we sent to residents in the Perrymans Farm area about action we are taking in the area on cold calling, litter and fly-tipping. Please share this with friends and family.

We are just sending you a quick email to let you know what your local Labour Councillors will be doing about local issues over the next few days.

Action on cold calling

We have had some reports of door step selling and charity fundraising in the Perrymans Farm area. This is in breach of the no cold calling zone that the council set up. We’ve been working with our new enforcement team and they have agreed to review the signage and notices - hopefully you’ve seen the new ones go up. They have also give me lots of anti-cold calling packs that includes stickers, lanyards and flyers on how to avoid being tricked on the door step. I will be handing out anti-cold calling packs between 12:30 and 1:30pm this Saturday by the car park opposite the health centre. If you would like one then please come along and say hello.

Fly-tipping and litter – enforcement team walkabout

As part of our regular campaign sessions we noticed some incidents of fly-tipping and litter in the area. To tackle this we are arranging a street walk with our new enforcement team and we will be issuing notices to rule breakers. The walkabout will take place over the next few days.

If you see excess litter, fly-typing or untidy front gardens then please contact your Councillors or report it to the council by going to http://www.redbridge.gov.uk/report. You can save this link on your phone and report issues as you see them.

Please share this email on facebook and twitter. We want this to reach as many people as possible in the area.
