Our Streets Launch

Today we launched the latest phase of the Our Streets campaign to keep Redbridge clean, green and safe.

Residents will start to see posters and adverts about fly-tipping and other illegal dumping; as well as information about how we all as residents can work with the council to keep the streets clean.

As part of the campaign we are:

  • Creating local neighbourhood teams of enforcement and cleansing staff, with a local area manager accountable to you;
  • Working with residents to keep our streets clean;
  • Trebling the number of enforcement officers;
  • Investing in more street cleansing staff;
  • Recruiting local street champions to bring the community together;
  • Investing in new cleansing machines;
  • Giving each subway a regular deep clean.

This is an exciting initiative and one I hope you will all get on board with.

Today was also the first of our new Free Green Garden Waste collections happened today. Redbridge Labour have introduced the free fortnightly garden waste collection from March until November each year.

We are still in the process of delivering the new bags, but you can put your waste out in any container or untied bin bag and we will pick it up. Check your collection day now https://www.redbridge.gov.uk/bins-waste-and-recycling/garden-waste/

Together we can keep our streets clean and deliver Results for Redbridge!
