Fighting against Police cuts
Fighting against Police cuts

We all deserve to feel safe in our own homes but thanks to unprecedented levels of government police cuts crime is on the rise and our police service no longer have the resources they desperately need to keep us safe.

Since 2010 the government has reduced funding to the Metropolitan Police by over £700 million, and police numbers have fallen in London by over 20,000. Knife crime has increased by 10 – 30 per cent across the tri-borough area which includes Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham and Havering. This isn’t a coincidence.

That’s why we’ve joined forces with Jon Cruddas MP for Dagenham and Rainham to call on the government to step up and give the police the support they need to keep our streets safe.

We’re proud to join Jon Cruddas’ campaign, Calling Time on Crime, to push for a proper solution to rising crime and let the government know the effects police cuts are having in Redbridge.
